With 4,129 of 4,130 precincts reporting, Coleman led Franken by 762 votes out of nearly 2.9 million cast. Coleman had 1,210,790 votes, or 42.03 percent, to Franken's 1,210,028 votes, or 42 percent.

But, in the grand scheme of things, I'll take last night's results.

3. This Sure Is Begging For A Recount
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 08:39 AM by KharmaTrain
Anyone familiar with how this process works in Minnesota...is it automatic or does a candidate have to request it?

4. A margin of less than one half of 1 percent triggers a recount

6. So Damn Close...
A couple weeks ago, I didn't think Al had a chance...he just couldn't get people to take him seriously...and then he started to turn things around. I'm hoping there are votes that can be found...like what happened 4 years ago in the Washington state governor's race. Meanwhile here's hoping that slimebag coleman is finally caught in one of his financial messes...sounds like he's another Ted Stevens.

Cheers from one Obamaland to Another...

It's a great day for us all

7. We need to see the figures for the entire State. How can MN go
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 09:02 AM by higher class
blue and the Senate seat not by a comparable plus? Bachman is local and she is suburbs, so she is out of this comparison.

It's just not that logical for MN to keep Coleman. He has no halo, there are investigations about to start. He personally would not appeal to the upper part of the State. It's the old belief about counter-balancing?

Rep. Keith Ellison won big.

MN got Naderized by Barkeley.

8. I just wonder if all the mail in ballots have been counted?
How about provisional ballots. It's interesting that they are framing this as Franken wants a recount when it was coleman who first called for a recount.
