2. Good question. They certainly don't need him to get to 51. |
|
And he doesn't help them get to 60, unless they can count on him to always vote with the Democrats, when the vote is close to 60. Maybe they'll get rid of the 60 rule and embarrass Repubs by having them filibuster.

4. They need their heads examined if Joe gets anything.. |
|
...he isn't a Democrat and was elected by REPUBLICANS in CT. When is Harry Reid going to wake up and get the stones to throw Joe out?

5. I hate to say this so bluntly - he can't be trusted. No to Joe. |

6. Obama will be the first one to reach out to Lieberman... |
|
...and welcome him back into the democratic fold. Did you not listen to him last night? All will be forgiven, Lieberman will be used by Obama to bridge the divide, and in graditude Joe will devote himself to Barack. And we'll have to put up with his smug, self rightous, self important ass for the forseeable future.

How's that for being decisive.
He's not going away, so the game is to play him rather than letting him play the party. I don't see him jumping to the GOOP...especially now...as he faces a backbench in either case. Reid MUST remove this bastard from ALL chairmanships...but let him back into the caucus. With a bigger majority and a Democratic executive, the game changes on how legislation goes through and who it goes through. Bottom line is Traitorman will still vote with us more often than against us...but he isn't one of us. He's a party of one and should be treated as such.

as far as I'm concerned, they didn't really "need" him even before the election
As soon as he decided to run in CT as an Independent, they should have kicked his ass to the curb.
