and the Reich-wing agenda for the past 8 years.
Thanks for supporting Obama - you've paid SOME penance for the terribly destructive crap you have supported. Now do the right thing and LEAVE and don't pretend you can change your stripes.
We need Progressives now to move forward, NOT the antiquated conservative ideology that has gotten us in this hole.

16. SLIGHTLY OFF THE BLUE DOG REFERENCE... |
|
...but since I can't post topics, this is an appropriate place to put down the NEXT WAVE OF DEMOCRATIC WINS.
Here are the list of all 19 republicans running for senate in 2010, and 13 of the seats ARE VULNERABLE! I haven't looked at the Democratic side, but I'll analyze them and include them in a report later on, along with a complete analysis of every repug thug listed below.
To hell with a 60 seat "super majority" margin...let's get the ULTIMATE MAJORITY, 67 Senators for a CONSTITUTIONAL-SETTING MAJORITY, that can OVERRIDE SUPREME COURT DECISIONS IF NECESSARY! Think what Obama can do with THAT!!
Sam Brownback (R) of Kansas- Retiring, POSSIBLE Richard Shelby of Alabama - If he retires, VULNERABLE! Lisa Murkowski of Alaska - VULNERABLE! John McCain of Arizona - If he retires, VULNERABLE! Mel Martinez of Florida - VULNERABLE! Johnny Isakson of Georgia - UNLIKELY Mike Crapo of Idaho - UNLIKELY Chuck Grassley of Iowa - May Retire, but either way VULNERABLE! Jim Bunning of Kentucky - EXTREMELY VULNERABLE! David Vitter of Louisiana - Scandal! VULNERABLE! Kit Bond of Missouri - VULNERABLE! Judd Gregg of New Hampshire - May retire, but either way VULNERABLE! Richard Burr of North Carolina - VULNERABLE! George Voinovich of Ohio - VULNERABLE! Tom Coburn of Oklahoma - VULNERABLE! Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania - Depending on health, VULNERABLE! Jim DeMint of South Carolina - UNLIKELY John Thune of South Dakota - VULNERABLE! Bob Bennett of Utah - UNLIKELY

18. I would love to see Richard Burr go. |

That would give NC two Democratic Senators. I hope Mike Easley decides to run against him; that would be an easy pickup for the Democrats.

Sorry to be so sarcastic on this Morning After.
It's just that they were all enablers and we should not sweep what they did under the rug.
Last night when all the talk was on 60 votes, I kept saying to myself, but what about our red reps.
What are they going to do now - continue to vote to Cheney's memory. Still bitter after this very short time between this morning and their last vote - the big one being FISA Immunity and all the gifts that accompanied it.

It didn't work for him, and I don't expect this to work any better.
President Obama plans to be a unifying figure. That is what we all need right now. It's the best way to purge the Rovian poison from the system.

14. We reelected our local Blue Dog with a 100% majority yesterday. |
|
Seriously, nobody even bothered to run against him (Dennis Cardoza).
While I appreciate the sentiment behind your post, the reality is that there are many areas where liberals just can't win. If we block conservative Democrats from running for those seats, we'll just be handing them back to the Republicans. So much for our congressional majorities at that point.

There's folks walking down the center of the road this evening that haven't posted in weeks, don't let it get to you and don't try to answer each post. Let them feed on themselves and just jump out every so often and hit one in the back on the head with something pithy. You'll be thinking, they'll be running their mouths.
