3. There was a Libertarian. I would imagine that would go against Martin,
or maybe they'll stay home?

4. Not tied. Chambliss is far ahead, but didn't make the required 50+%
Obama and the Democratic heavy hitters will be coming down here.

Didn't work in 1992.

7. I found this...he's at 49.9%
With 96% of Georgia precincts reporting, the latest results released by the Georgia Secretary of State's office has Chambliss with a 49.9% - 46.7% lead over Martin. But the weight of this election is balanced by Libertarian candidate Allen Buckley who received 3.4% of the vote.

In Georgia, if a candidate does receive the majority of the vote, a runoff election must be held.

8. And this happened in 1992.
As I said, President-Elect Clinton came down here and we lost.

9. What Obama can get for Martin is organization and $$$
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 12:28 PM by JCMach1
Will disheartened Repugs turn-out...? That's an open question if we bury them in money and GOTV.

10. If Obama can get nearly the same number of A-As to the polls, Chambliss would be toast.
Unlikely. I think the fundies/racists will win this as they did most of the South.

11. This is GREAT NEWS! And I hope and trust that Dean and Obama get on this,
pour money and resources into Martin's runoff with Saxby Shameless, and get that jerkwad, who called Max Cleland, a vet who left three limbs in Vietnam, a "friend of Osama bin Laden," out of the Senate. If Franken wins the recount in Minnesota (against the jerkwad who benefited from Paul Wellstone's murder, Worm Coleman), that's almost the magic "60."

They must back Martin to the hilt. We all must. Shameless must go!

Martin and the Dems in GA have put up a mighty battle against Diebold (yup--with a severe Diebold handicap--GA is an all-unverifiable, all-electronic, totally non-transparent, paperless system, THE most riggable of all) and the Puke establishment that put that system in place to steal elections--including Cleland's. Rove writes the narrative; Diebold writes the code.

That's the situation, and the voters and activists in GA have almost, almost, almost overcome it with GOTV.

P-L-E-A-S-E Howard! P-L-E-A-S-E Barack! Go to GA and take your 5,000 lawyers with you!
