2. Yes!
Wouldn't any Senate position be replaced w/another person from the same party? I have forgotten how it works. Doesn't the state's Governor select the new Senator?

3. I think he would be fantastic for it, but hate to lose him as a Senator - he'll be SFRC chair

I assume, with Biden out and Dodd heading other committee (and I'd maybe like Majority Leader for Dodd)

4. Kerry's on the Short List
http://wbztv.com/local/john.kerry.secretary.2.856786.html

"Kerry is on his short list"

"Kerry, the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee, selected Obama to deliver the keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston."

If Kerry left the Senate for a cabinet post, a special election would be held - most likely in the spring, according to Keller.

5. We need every senator we have to stay in the senate.
There is a lot of legislation that needs to be passed. If we weaken the senate, we won't get it done.

They were being sharp about Emanuel being selected as chief of staff. That is such fucking bullshit.

14. Me too.. and because he has run for president a few times
there are miles of tape out "there" with many ambiguous statements of his, and plenty of anti-Kerry crap from the Bushies.. Kerry is better off being the "senior" senator from Massachesetts, and helping guide the eventual Kennedy replacement.

Kerry's pedantic "senatorial" style of speech is boring²

I would like to see Obama offer and get mccain to agree to be Sec of the Navy..or maybe even head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. that would allow Napolitano to appoint a dem to his spot.. John can't be feeling all that much love for the republican party about now, and he is likely to be only going through the motions until 2010, when he'll probably retire..
