Like most thinking creatures, I consider the outbursts of Ann Coulter to be about as welcome as a visit from a delegation of banshees. So when I woke up latish this morning (bedtime was 1:45) and turned on the TV for a quick check that reality had not reverted to a lost season of "Dallas", I was not pleased to see that CBS's Morning Show had invited a panel of pundits including Mizz Coulter, who got the first question. After a minute of watching supposedly educational cartoons on PBS, I turned back to CBS to hear the rest of the panel. Harry Smith then launched one more query at Mizz Coulter. Before I could find the remote, she showed once again that wingnuts can never pass up a chance to demonstrate graciousness in defeat. In response to Smith's "how can the Republican Party rebuild itself ?", she had this priceless nugget to offer:
Well, it should be a lot easier now that John McCain is out of the way. He was never a real Republican.
Better dump that gold watch on eBay quick, John, before it starts to turn green.
