Which state's flip makes you most happy?
For me, its my neighbor, Virginia.

I am most amazed at Indiana.

Interestingly, neither of these states have been ours since 1964. How sweet it is!

38. YES WE DID! I happen to live in VIGO county which was discussed on MSNBC early on last night and
I'm proud to boast that our county has been overwhelmingly pro-Dem since Jesus Christ was an alter boy! Finally, the majority of voters around this great state had seen ENOUGH and began thinking for "themselves" instead of digesting all the vile the RePuke demigods on talk radio and on the "False" News network dished out to brainwash them. And to those of you Hoosiers who will forever check your guns at the church steps and continue to spew out your racist hate, all I have to say to you is, "scoreboard!" Tufffff Schlitz!!!

All those many EVs. And for how the Republicans gloated over the whole deal from 2000. It warms my heart.

Oh, and of course my own adopted state of Colorado. In the words of the Great One, "How sweet it is!"

11. Virginia!
The Seat of the Confederacy, and the last place Obama campaigned. Of course NC and FL are close second's, but Virginny is where my hillbilly folk on my dad's side came from before they went up to Ohio (and THAT one had me absolutely thrilled!).

I always wondered why that state wasn't with us. Their working-class communities were just patsies for the republicans who celebrated them.

Because it, due to changing demographics, has a good chance to stay blue-- which truly throws a structural wrench in the Electoral College for the Pubbies.

No, this state didn't flip, not really. We got robbed bigtime in 2004 to give Stupid a narrow victory.

However, we now have 2 Democratic Senators and 3 Democratic Representatives and that's the first time it's happened. Our Democratic Governor will be in office 2 more years unless he's called to be Secretary of State.

Though McCrazed won, it was by less than three points. And remember, the whole point of the 50-state strategy is to lay down the foundation which the Dems can build upon. Think of any losses we incur as the basis of coming back even stronger next time.

48. New Mexico.
I've never been there, and don't know much about it.
However, my grandfather, who really was a mostly good guy, was a horrible racist.
He was born in New Mexico in 1902, and died in California in 1986.
I'm glad that the state he was born in,(actually, it was still a territory at the time) and that no doubt taught him his racism, voted for the first African-American presidential candidate. Grandpa would be horrified, I'm sure, but he's long dead, so I don't care!
