When did we decide to stop fighting to honor the basics of our Constitution??

I guess I hid out from the primary fights a bit too long.

Please, do enlighten me.

I put up a post about it last night and got insulted. Now, I see a post right here on this page where the OP is mocked.

I guess I must apologize for still wanting JUSTICE. (NOT REVENGE).

My bad. Sorry.

I don't see how we can NOT be unified over this. I do not seek to create division. I do not know of an American here that does not want us to see the Constitution and Bill of Rights given full power and respect.

Seriously, what did I miss??

1. I think now is the perfect time to start impeachment.
We already one, no backlash from the voter is at risk.

2. I agree. And, if he's not impeached,
he should be tried and convicted and thrown in prison after Jan. 20.

4. Impeachment is a must in order to restore accountability, IMO
for the Bush cabal to walk away scot-free after the damage they've done is a travesty.

5. Don't know who you are talking to
but impeachment is fine with me, though turning every goddamned one of them over to The Hague for war crimes is even better.

6. There is a group of "cognoscenti" on DU that have decided certain discussions
are not appropriate for posting and they will "jump" you if you dare violate their dictates.

I have run into them several times lately -one was when I posted something I heard a local right wing talker say about grandmother Dunham which I thought was outrageous.

I was thoroughly trounced for bringing up the "taboo" topic (what right wingers were discussing) which I had no idea was "off limits."

I don't give a damn, if I want to mention something I'm going to do it as long as the moderators think its permissible.

13. Cognoscenti...what a hoot...

Calling "Fancy Nancy's Panty Brigade" the cognoscenti. Careful, they'll start taking on an air of respectability if one of them knows what it means and become truly insufferable.

8. Impeachment is a waste of time and political capital
Why go to the trouble when he would be far more humiliated and punished by a trial for treason and war crimes?

9. You missed the part where you tell us what you're talking about
"Impeachment" has tended to be a pretty popular word in this group.

10. Guess You Missed Reality, Strategy, Logic And Reasoning.
All of those things deem the concept of impeachment to be worthless, counterproductive, and ill advised.

15. President has entitlements once he leaves office
An impeached pres would not receive them. That is one reason it is still a valid idea.

14. I'm with you
at a recent Obama fundraiser, I collected over 100 signatures on Conyers's impeachement petition , and sent them to his office about 3 weeks ago. Some people think it is a done deal but it is not.
