"Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast"
Angry McCain aide goes off on the "Wasilla Hillbillies"

http://www.americablog.com/2008/11/angry-mccain-aide-goes-off-on-wasilla.html

NEWSWEEK has also learned that Palin's shopping spree at high-end department stores was more extensive than previously reported. While publicly supporting Palin, McCain's top advisers privately fumed at what they regarded as her outrageous profligacy. One senior aide said that Nicolle Wallace had told Palin to buy three suits for the convention and hire a stylist. But instead, the vice presidential nominee began buying for herself and her family—clothes and accessories from top stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. According to two knowledgeable sources, a vast majority of the clothes were bought by a wealthy donor, who was shocked when he got the bill. Palin also used low-level staffers to buy some of the clothes on their credit cards. The McCain campaign found out last week when the aides sought reimbursement. One aide estimated that she spent "tens of thousands" more than the reported $150,000, and that $20,000 to $40,000 went to buy clothes for her husband. Some articles of clothing have apparently been lost. An angry aide characterized the shopping spree as "Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast," and said the truth will eventually come out when the Republican Party audits its books.

4. "They were going to charity"
Except for the ones that were lost, I guess.

McCain and especially Palin made a big deal of saying once the campaign was over the clothes "were going to charity". Man, I hope to God, some reporters will be following her for the next year or so. If she wears any of those "missing" clothes in public I hope they nail her ass bad! She's just dumb and arrogant enough to make that mistake.

Then the IRS can screw up her day...bad :)

9. Or...
...lost on eBay (this time actually sold at a profit -- at least for the beneficiary charity, which is "The Human Fund").

6. Catfight Anyone???
That's quite a fond farewell Sarah Barracuda's getting there...and my bets are there's more on the way. You could see the friction building between Palin and Camp Gramps from Day One and how she became more of a prima donna as time went by. Surely she felt she was the star as she was drawing the big crowds and you could see the lack of chemistry getting worse as election day drew near.

Looks like Bible Spice made herself a bunch of enemies in her lower 48 romp. This story was played up by Faux the other day...the speed and the messenger are very interesting...as though they wouldn't mind helping burry the Barracuda..."Quayle" her image once and for good.

10. GOP Circular Firing Squad: Ready! Fire! Aim!
This is almost as entertaining as if Cindy McCain and Sarah Palin were literally rather than figuratively fighting it out in the Jell-O Pit.
