I'm asking DUers for a small moment of their time (help)

I posted in GDP this afternoon. It is not getting any traction. It was not a joke. I do understand why people feel this way. In all seriousness, I could use some replies. Several friends in D.C. are passing the post around.

1. Bush appointments are intentional losers. The candidates for Obama's admin are something else.
That's why your plea hasn't gotten any traction. I'm putting forward Tom Croft of the Steel Valley Authority who has been tremendous in saving and creating 10's of thousands of jobs in the "rust belt" by innovative means.

There are many other jobs in the Labor Dept. besides Secretary. Perhaps you can be considered for a union liason post. Get a professional to help you with your resume, and send it to the new Secretary w/ the most influential recommendations you can muster, once that person is chosen.

Here is the URL of the page listing vacancies: http://www.doors.dol.gov/index.asp

Here's one that sounds right up your alley, with your background as a shop steward:
0249 - Wage and Hour Compliance Specialist

Or you can include samples of your DU journal and apply for a job with their Office of Public Affairs, where you'd be writing press releases about the Dept.'s activities.

I am so sorry about your job problems. There are a lot of us in that same boat.

I will do all I can to get in the Dept. and stand up for America's workers.

My letter is starting to get traction from some friends already.
