A Defense Strategy
Now that Obama has been elected, there are a few things that need to be taken care of. While I'm not as wordy as some of the others on this site, election reform has got to be addressed this time around. With the Dems controlling the House, Senate, and presidency (after swearing-in, of course, which I believe will happen; we've gotten past the hardest part, the election.), there is no for longer any excuse for our representatives not to pass election reform. Secondly, maybe it's because I've been a Republican in the past (I'm sure there's a post regarding that somewhere on here ), I think I have an idea of what is likely to be coming. Get ready for a bunch of conspiracy theories, filibusters of any Supreme Court nominations with no sense of irony (the nuclear option was only supposed to be used when, paraprhasing a blog whose name I can't recall, history was over and Reps would be in charge forever). I imagine DUers will be more vigilant this time than in the Clinton years. We can probably expect some crazies to come out. As I type this, I just noticed an article about a Chicago-area man being arrested. I ask that we band together and get ready to defend Obama from the idiotic attacks that are about to start coming, and do not allow the Reps to get as far as they did in the Clinton years, with some of their more stupid invegistations (i.e. Holiday Christmas card list, impeachment over a bs reason). I get the feeling they're going to be coming and I am ready to stand and say "not this time."

Also, today is my birthday so it has been a wonderful day with a reason to celebrate.
