Search for Obama celebration and you'll find plenty of other videos to make you cry.

3. higher and HIGHER..............

if you have never seen Ghostbusters 2 (yes, I know how cheesy this already is, it IS) yet it is also right

basic theme: slime that conducts emotions, they spray it onto the Statue of Liberty, play that song and lure all of NYC to help in the singing. Somehow LL marching saved them. I forget how, I was a tween or so when that came out.

What's gay of me is it made me cry, then, and I'm GLAD it did, now.

what's Cassandra of me now is now I know what that past image reminded me of. Predicted me of?

( I SAID YOUR LOVE.............) oh, any gods the reader likes..................how can ANYONE with any morals object to that?

At the end of that movie is.........all of (I guess) NYC, together, black white gay straight broke rich, singing, waving, smiling, crying. I thought that was silly fantasy.

Till I saw it.

I have never in my life been so GLAD to be wrong about (X and Y) not happening. OMG! WRONG! WIN WIN!

I said, your LOVE.........

Is there a more powerful word than that word? Has there EVER been?

6. The stars and stripes look much nicer today...
The colors looked brighter and more vibrant today. The white of the stars and the stripes doesn't look as yellow as it had (due to Bush and buddies going to the restroom on it so much).

7. Patriotism is still the last refuge of the scoundrel
Apparently I lack the gene for patriotism the same way I lack the gene for theism, I just see the whole shebang as a manipulative and ultimately pointless waste of time and energy.

All patriotism does is allow someone to manipulate you through your emotions, rarely a good thing IMO.

8. It's strange how Bush and Palin made me have a different
viewpoint of our flag and patriotism in general. When I was a kid, just hearing our national anthem made me feel with a sense of pride. This all changed when the Republicans came into power. BTW, I did not join the Army because I was patriotic. Back then we were drafted.

9. I was born on June 14,..
and from what I've been told, that was the basis for "Flag Day". Which I think I actually believed for a while. Then when I was young they did the folded flag thing at my Dad's funeral which freaked me out. The significance of the flag became sorrow. And then came Vietnam, and the significance of the flag was cemented in my mind as a symbol of war and lives lost. I was befuddled by the flag draping that went on after 9/11, people plastering flags on anything and everything. I just didn't get it. Yet today we bought a flag. Go figure.
