20. Watch it.
You'll get every DUer who once had a great great uncle who was a police officer crawling down your throat. People gots to provide for their families don't you know? Even if they have to crack a few skulls. I agree with you by the way. It's my experience that "the shield" is a corrupt fortress the police hide behind.

14. Wilms, would you mind peeking at the results for L.A. County?
They seemed sort of weird to me.

16. From far away, LA looks blue.
Close-up, however, you see a lot of red.

Add to that the homophobia that knows no party in particular.

There is no surprise. Just disappointment.

23. I lived in Santa Monica, remember? The whole city council was red
in blue drag.

We'll never know now. They've conceded. :(

13. Florida
I am so sorry for you but you know we got screwed in Florida also by wording. People are so stupid. The amendment was vote yes on amendment two but people were calling in to this one radio station yesterday saying they thought by voting yes they were voting for the bill not against. I swear people have no clue before they go into the booth. By voting no you really voted yes. Really set up people. Plus every church you passed had signs out front that said "Pray before you vote" I got three calls asking me to vote yes, said I was voting NO and these people were like you know that means you are voting for gay marriage. YES,I Know!! I swear they did this to confuse people. System totally stinks.

24. Even worse, it passed with more than the 60% majority.
I thought it could never reach that threshold, and it did.

I don't think it will ever be overturned in my lifetime.

22. This was on CNN earlier.
As people were being beaten, the reporter covering it said that "no was injured". Guess she's never been beaten.
This issue shouldn't be up for a vote. It's a civil right, guaranteed in the Constitution, and should be treated as such.
