2. Do they even know yet? A lot of absentee ballots haven't been counted. |
|
They take FOREVER to count.

8. And how do they know if an absentee ballot... |
|
was military?
I don't know how other places do it, but here the envelope it comes back in will have identification, and maybe an APO address, making it obvious where it came from. But, the ballots are then pulled out of the envelopes and separated so no one knows how individuals, or groups, voted.
As with everyone else, they know you voted, but don't know how you voted.
FWIW, my county had an incredible number of absentee ballots (including mine). Over 40,000 last I heard and is overwhelmed counting them. They usually send them to the EDs so they can be added to the local totals, but this time there were just too many.

10. What "permissions" are you talking about. Please site your sources. Thanks! |
|
You can site "the general rule" number or source.

11. My husband (a soldier) and I voted absentee |
|
we are in Korea. We had to send our ballots attached to emails. Weird. I don't know if it got counted or not. We applied for absentee ballots but never got them so were instructed to download some ballot and send it to some email address.

13. I heard about soldiers from Indiana doing something like that. |
|
I thought it was questionable (ripe for fraud) when I heard about it.

14. It seemed suspicious to me |
|
I was voting absentee for Colorado and my husband for Illinois but we didn't get our ballots so we had to just do national ballots and email them. I didn't feel comfortable with it at all. I received a confirmation email that my ballot had been received.
