Did you guys see the 'Evangelical Electoral Map'? They claim that 26% of the voters
told exit polls they were evangelicals and 74% went for McCain.

Compare the percent of evangelical voters in each state with the outcome of the vote. For example, Arkansas went 59% for McCain and 39% for Obama. This map shows that 53% of the voters claim to be evangelicals and voted 72% for McCain and 25% for Obama.

3. "Only 8% of those in Hawaii's exit polls were evangelicals..."
Just one more reason why I'd love to live in Hawaii if I could afford it. Beachfront paradise, beautiful weather, AND not too many fundie nutjobs. :loveya:

4. counterbalance them with single women
Unmarried women made up 21% of voters and voted Obama by about a 71% margin. It all evens out.

There are just as many secularists as there are religious people, and we are just as partisan (preferring the dems 2-1 over the GOP).

5. What those numbers tell me is that there is going to be some purges in the evangelical rankes...26%
traitors to God and country. (As interpreted by the white American Christian evangelical mantras).
