Joe Lieberman should be put on probation?
I know a lot of folks want him out of the Party. If he had his way, John McCain would be President and the Republicans would be in charge of everything. He did everything he could do to defeat us in the last election. So what does he deserve?

At the very best, I do not think he should be in charge of any Committees. He should be put on probation for 6 months to give him time to think of which Party he wants to be in? By his votes and his deeds, we will then see if he wants to be part of the Democratic Party. He deserves no favors. But this would be a favor to him for his many years as a Democrat. However, his deeds should not go unpunished.

1. LIEberman should face justice in the Hague, along with the rest of the neocons
probation is nothing to that little man.

4. OK, but the probation ought to include one of those new locked GPS bracelets.
We want to know where he goes and who he's consorting with.

(Too many years as a shrink in the criminal system, I guess.)

6. It depends upon the number of seats in the Senate that we get.
If we don't have a filibuster proof Senate, then (hm, now I'm forgetting. I'm just waking up here. )

It's a game of whether his body is worth something to us. He could swing the Senate into a filibuster proof vote. Then he stays. Otherwise he gets the boot, so to speak.

Where's my coffee.

8. No, No, No.
He was on probation from 04'-07'. He violated when he endorsed and campaigned for McCain in 08'. To the wilderness with him.

10. He went all in on a losing hand
McCain even wanted to name Lieberman as his running mate. That doesn't merit probation; that's grounds for exile. Wherever folks from Siberia are exiled to.

13. He's an "independent" who just caucuses with the D's (until he defected)
He was "given" chairmanships to keep him on the reservation.. he bolted..and now he's DONE!

No more chairmanships..no more committee appointments..Nada..zip..zilch..zero..

He can just cozy up to his 2 BFFs and ride out the rest of his ill-gotten term, in oblivion..hopefully in a corner of a closet somewhere..

15. "He should be put on probation for 6 months..."
Hell, we might as well just send him to his room without any dinner!

It's quite clear what party he wants to belong to so we should make that decision easier for him by giving him the fucking boot!

17. He should be politically neutered - and the people of Connecticut should pay attention.
Giving Lieberman ANY kind of political clout would merely encourage the people of Connecticut to continue to vote for someone who can "deliver" ... and that's just noxious. Let the smarmy fucker caucus by himself. Give him NO chairmanships whatsoever and assign him to committees that're the LEAST relevant to Connecticut.
