I agree that they should lose their leadership. So do you have any suggestions for replacements?

19. Did you understand the election results on Tuesday night at all?
Did you understand that we won by running on a Moderate platform?

President Obama will govern from the Center and I expect that the Left-Wingers will cause trouble for him like they caused trouble for President Clinton.

In fact I think that a good portion of the Left-Wing at DU will probably hate President Obama as much as they hate President Clinton in about six months.

28. The reality is
President Obama is a moderate, he will govern as a moderate, the mainstream is moderate.

Left-Wing politics has always been in the minority, which is WHY there never was a President Kucinich, a President McGovern or a President Ted Kennedy.

President Obama will be like President Clinton, and like President Clinton, he will be a brilliant President.

It was the Left-Wing, the so-called "Progressives" who were the thorns in President Clinton's side, and it happened when they found out that YES he was a Centrist and he intended on governing as a Moderate.

In ANY Leadership positions making policy, because their Left-Wing politics would be a disaster for the Democratic Party.

We have NEVER been a Left-Wing party....we have ALWAYS been a Center-Left party.

A Center-Left party.

It will not say a Left-Wing party.

There IS A Left-Wing party, they are called the Socialist Party.....they are NOT the Democratic Party.

President Obama isn't a socialist, which is why the desperate attempt by the McCain/Palin campaign to smear him as a socialist FAILED TOTALLY.

5. Why do you want to remove Reid and Pelosi?
They have done good jobs, we have expanded our majorities in both houses.

Remove them, why exactly?

Thank goodness as well that Nancy Pelosi TOTALLY THUMPED that fool Cindy Sheehan....MEGA LANDSLIDE for Pelosi.

26. They're being endorsed by the DLC
isn't that reason enough?

Seriously...... this "govern from the middle" shit needs to GO.

There was an electoral LANDSLIDE Tuesday night, specifically because the Republican "middle" policies of the last 28 years have fucked up this country.

It's time to return to DEMOCRATIC policies, and there should be leadership in both houses of Congress which reflects that.

Senate Majority leader: Barbara Boxer or Russ Feingold. Either one is fine with me.
And Dick Durbin for the Whip

Speaker of the House: Dennis Kucinich
Robert Wexler for the Whip

45. Who do you think voted for President Obama?
It was a LANDSLIDE....are you REALLY trying to convince yourself that some phantom Left-Wing voting block was responsible for a LANDSLIDE?

A landslide is caused by a coalition of Left, CENTER/MODERATES, Independents and the old Rockefeller Republicans.

President Obama owes his landslide to THIS coalition, and because it's a diverse coalition, he will govern from the center as a moderate....look I know the election was only on Tuesday, but he's also going to want to get RE-elected in four years time.

He governs as a Centrist = he gets re-elected like President Clinton did.

31. They are not responsible for expanding our majorities
We had to fight to establish credibility for Democrats despite their collaborating with Bush.

Kucinich speaks to what the majority want

End the war(s)

Prevent future war(s)

Real Universal Single Payer Health Care

Repeal the Patriot Act

Cancel NAFTA

End the Drug War

49. I am happy with Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and guess what
In January, the Senate Majority leader will STILL be Harry Reid and the Speaker of the House will STILL be Nancy Pelosi.

Why?

Because they have both been SUCCESSFUL at their jobs that's why.

Dennis Kucinich, while a good man, doesn't speak to the majority, the issues you listed, yes many of us can agree on quite a number of those issues (except NAFTA)....but there are MORE issues than the ones you listed and on those other issues Kucinich is outside of the mainstream majority opinion....which is why he never came even near getting the Presidential nomination in 2004....hell Kucinich in the Ohio Primary couldn't even get more than 10% of the vote in his own state, that says it all really.

43. the next election is two years away, and even then, most people
people don't really give a shit about who the Speaker or Majority leader is. That's something that's way down on their list. Here in Vermont, the very liberal electorate will not punish Peter Welch or Bernie or Pat for voting for Pelosi or Reid. And let's face it, if that's the case in VT, you can hang it up for other states.

Thank goodness the Left-Wing at DU isn't in charge of the show, thank goodness President Obama who ran on a Centrist and moderately liberal platform IS in charge of the show.

There will be no Left-Wingers at HIGH-UP level in the Obama Administration, I guarantee it, he's going to govern as a moderate, because THAT'S what the MAJORITY of people voted for.

53. just a guess here, but 500 DUers saying they want Pelosi to go isn't going to change anything
Pelosi herself just won re-election with 72 percent of the vote. The House Democratic caucus represents a wide range of positions, from Dennis Kucinich to Heath Shuler. If you think that someone like Dennis is likely to end up as Speaker, you're dreaming again.

that we have this great power, why not learn just how the fucking system works before we screw it up.

We gotta figure out who the majority whip is gonna be too, don't forget.

And all the committe chairs and co-chairs. The actual assignemnts, too.

While we're at it, why not just pass all the laws here, since they don't seem to know nearly as much as we do about legislating.

(*POOF* everything Kucinich ever suggested is immediately the law-- see how easy that was)
