McCain supporting family members think that Obama suporters don't 'get it' |
|
I have relatives who firmly believe that I was caught up in Obama-mania and didn't understand what was at stake, and now the country is on a steep descent into socialism...basically I just wanted to make history at the expense of the county?!
What was this election to you? I believe that McCain supporters has no grasp of what was at stake. I'm not talking the wealthy McCain supporters, I'm talking about my middle class relatives who loved McCain.
Why did i support Obama? The guy is SMART. He isn't just smart, he is brilliant...and they way he deliberates on issues is just what we need. I voted for Obama because i was rejecting what conservatism has been hijacked into:
belligerent nationalism, anti-intellectualism, hostility to science and the environment, corrupt cronyism (foxes guarding the henhouse) fiscal irresponsibility (remember McCain was a deregulator), Big Brother government, Anti-choice and the religious right.
I was endorsing capitalism with regulation, Health care, woman's rights, the environment, engaging in dialogue with other nations and mending our relations with them. I was choosing someone who could be an effective leader, McCain could not even rally his own party behind him.

McCain supporters are consistently less-informed on the issues. Anyone can argue about priorities, socialism, when life starts, pre-emptive war, values...but ask them whether they think they know more about the issues than you do.
End of discussion.

When you actually analyse for instance, their reaction to "a redistribution of wealth" they are conditioned to fear communism and a total loss of their american rights. They lost the power of logical thought process completely.

Whose judgment should be trusted? Someone who supported the failed Bush administration, some for two terms, or someone who understands that the crises we have going on right now are because of the idiots who thought it was a good idea to put W at the helm? We have video evidence, in McCain's own words, coming from his own mouth, that he has voted in lock step with BushCo 90% of the time. That alone speaks volumes to any THINKING human being.
Anyone who voted for Bush TWICE has no ability for rational thinking.

We need smart people running gov't. We've had enough idiots who think they've got it figured out. The biggest difference between smart and dumb is simple. Smart know they're smart, but DON'T think they know it all. Dumb thinks it knows it all.
We've had plenty of that. The Professor

"How can anyone NOT like him?" She definitely Gets It.
