Hopefully it won't come to this, but the long 8 Bush years have taught me never to take anything for granted. How likely is it that any legislatures would refuse to certify President-elect Barack Obama's electors, and if that happens, what can be done?

3. Ain't gonna happen. The win was too overwhelming. |

And Obama doesn't need any particular state that he won, not even California.

McCain's count.
Such a thing is as close to a statistical impossibility as you can get.

I tend to be kind of paranoid and a bit of a worry-wart. I vaguely remember from the 2000 election, that Reps, in Florida at least had their own alternate electors ready to go and were threatening if the Supreme Court ruled in Gore's favor in Bush v. Gore, to refuse to certify them. Though it probably is unlikely. I just feel that it's best to be prepared.

9. The vote count is nowhere near close enough for that |
|
I'm pretty sure that's why all apparent attempts to steal this election were halted... the vote flipping in machines had be concerned for a while there, but no. There were just too many people showing up.
