What are the ten biggest failures of the Bush administration? |
|
I'm looking for a short list, ten will do, but I want the big ones. The next time I get one of those Obama is the anti-Christ emails, I want a quick picture of the havoc caused by GWB, a summation of his eight years of horror. If you already have a list or a link, please respond cause I'm going to give my right-wing brother-in-law both barrels and tell him to email ten of his friends.

1. Their list of successes is shorter |
|
1) Medical savings accounts. 2) The Do-Not-Call List
That's it.

8. You sure? Then that would mean that the ONLY thing Bush did right... |
|
... was to stop the Telemarketers from calling.

5. I don't think we have nearly enough information |
|
But certainly the failures we know about are signal enough. Torture as official U.S. policy seems like it would be enough for anyone. But okay: Warrantless searches and wiretaps; "enemy combatants" as a new designation to get around U.S. treaty obligations and its own constitution; lying to the UN about the casus belli (thank you Colin Powell); the 9/11 attacks and failure to capture the surviving perpetrators; collapse of the U.S. mortgage, banking and financial systems thanks to Bush inattention and failure to enforce what feeble regulations still on the books.
That should be quite enough to distract anyone with a lick of sense from some bullshit antichrist nonsense.

9. You might think so, but these people attend church services in NC. |
|
;-) Thanks for the list. There have been so many failures it's become difficult to whittle them down, I agree that yours belong up near the top. They may not have a lick of sense, but my relatives are not stupid or uneducated ... just totally indoctrinated. My brother-in-law has his masters in chemical engineering and he's not an exception. After watching Obama's acceptance speech, I was sure the other side would come around. Now, I'm not so sure. I'm beginning to think 35 to 40% of my family is unreachable and will have to be written off.
