One More Time -- under the law -- federal law |
|
marriage IS NOT RELIGIOUS.
except some few of you -- not unlke conservatives -- who want to say it is.
all LGBTIQ people need is for the courts to stand aside and recognize all our inherent rights.
that's it -- that's all.
civil union isn't coming -- nope not gonna happenand no need to make all the changes necessary for that.
you don't have to like it -- but much simpler to make it clear that gender restrictions are removed.

What does "IQ" designate in GLBTIQ?
I don't want to be too far out of the loop.
Thanks, Tom

and i'm one who thinks all these categories are important.
ew are not racial minorities -- we are not a crew who under most circumstances have our families by our side.
so -- who are our families? -- well this is just an imperfect attempt to describe the variety of 'us'.

then nobody would have to get a damned MARRIAGE LICENSE from the GOVT.
People that spout that bullshit are idiots. Marriage is not a religious institution. It is controlled by the government and the government has determined that clergy can marry people...AFTER they get a government issued marriage license.

If marriage is strictly a religious institution and not subject to federal law, then every married straight person in the U.S. needs to give up their marriage deduction provided by the IRS, a U.S. Federal Government agency, not the last time I checked a religious institution.
How many do you think will be willing to do that? My bet is zip.
Till then they need to stay out of other peoples lives and get their religion out of the U.S. Government's Constitution.
Straight and Single.

23. Correct -- "marriage" is the legal term |
|
Straight folks aren't going to let their marriages be demoted anytime soon, so why the hell should WE have to settle for second best? And, most GLBTers don't even have that.

That's the only way to remain a free country. I'm ashamed we are still denying civil rights in the 21st century of USofA.
