I find the lying attacks on Obama sickening |
|
and I don't give a shit what direction they come from; whether they're from the right lying about what a radical lefty Emanuel is, or whether they're from the left stating that Obama is picking right wing cabinet members. And yeah, I've seen that right here in River City.
He's been President-Elect for less than two days and the destructive lying bullshit is everywhere.

2. K&R! People on the left at least, I think, are giving into fear too easily. |
|
Being too partisan for too long. Being used to being sold out by other representatives. It would be nice if people could at least hold off criticizing him until, say, noon on Jan. 21st? I think it is probably going to take some people a while to get used to real bipartisanship.

6. Once President Obama is in office |
|
he will convince all sides that he is seriously in office to help our country (granted it might take a while). And, he is going to be successful.
All the attacks we hear now will gain a "hollow" quality once we see him in action.

13. I did too until I realized they're empty and powerless. |
|
I ran into a nutjob spouting off the higher taxes, communist, shrill fringe talking points. I was furious. Thank goodness the thread had already been locked. Then I realized we're in control. It's one thing to have a boneheaded conservative smirking and blabbing bs, all while Bush is in office. But quite another when they're standing outside in the rain.
Nothing's going to stick. Obama is just too big. And I presume, clean.

Richard Durbin, Reps. Bobby Rush, Jesse Jackson, Jr., Bill Lipinski, Luis Gutiérrez, Danny K. Davis, Jan Schakowsky, Jerry Costello and Evans) elected in 2002.<23>>>>>

some of us voted for Obama/Biden to keep McCain out of office. Nonetheless, he isnt a messiah, and a healthy critique is good for the country.

20. But Biden, by all accounts , is not a mental case: |
|
>>>>>Emanuel is said to have "mailed a rotting fish to a former coworker after the two parted ways."<16> On the night after the 1996 election, "Emanuel was so angry at the president's enemies that he stood up at a celebratory dinner with colleagues from the campaign, grabbed a steak knife and began rattling off a list of betrayers, shouting 'Dead! ... Dead! ... Dead!' and plunging the knife into the table after every name."<2>>>>>>[br /> Again, he's the original bad news bear. A really , really, bad first step.
