3. Oh EXCELLENT
They SO deserve to lose their tax-exempt status at this point. They are obviously a political organization now.

6. I'm going to say it. I cannot believe the LDS/Mormon Church
is so backwards. I am not a member but my good friend is, and she's anti-anti-gay. In other words she's for civil rights for all.

7. The Mormon Church + RCC were also largely responsible for defeat of ERA ---

a campaign they paid for with tax-exempt dollars --!!

And, I'm sure you know both played large roles in oppression/genocide of

native Americans -- also with the "church schools" that brainwashed their children.

And abused them in every way -- physically - sexually -- torture, murder, beatings...

11. I will only do it if you add to the list of Churches
the reason being that the one that is the worst is the right of Evangelical. If you take the others down you only strengthen the worst one. ALL OF THEM THAT ARE POLITICAL SHOULD BE OFF THE DOLE.

14. Prop 8 was disgusting...
But I think the church can put money towards issues it supports as long as it isn't a particular CANDIDATE, am I right? Fighting poverty, abortion, gay rights, whatever.

I believe in freedom of, and from, religion.

I don't, however, believe that any religion has a right to trample upon the rights of others.

17. Dont stop there, tax all churches ....
Let them deduct a pittance if they have a soup kitchen, or actually do some other good deeds, but most churches only tend their own flock ..... this is not the "redistribution of wealth"?,

By ending the horror of "faith based iniatives" and taxing all those bastards, they will, with irony, actually produce a social good.
Everyones taxes will go down.
