Revoke Mormon Church Tax Exempt Status
See this link for a way to file a complaint with the IRS. They have obviously campaigned in violation of IRS regulation and need to have their tax exempt status revoked:

1. This is not a petition....
But rather a few forms and instructions on how you can file an official complaint with the IRS. More effective in my opinion.

2. I heard the guy on Randi Rhodes today
who said his wife, who was a Mormon, came home from church saying that they openly told people how to vote. I, probably, and the IRS probably, would need more concrete proof. But if it is so, they should have their tax free status revoked.

4. Here's the problem with the proof
The Mormon church only allows other Mormons in the temple, as a tenet of faith. The net/net of that is that an IRS agent investigating violations of the conditions that allow them to retain their tax-exempt status would have to be a practicing Mormon themselves, and have a temple recommend signed by a bishop and another "priesthood holder" (basically, any adult male Mormon).

Bottom line - the Mormons, through their closed nature, make damn good and sure that they CAN'T be investigated.

9. Yeah, but didn't this guy say it happened at church? Not in the temple.

They don't preach in their temples, but in their churches.

The temples are strictly for weddings, endowments and weird shit like proxy baptisms for the dead.

10. Didn't know that.
I never knew there was a distinction between the two. I guess you learn something every day - thanks!

11. It's a useful thing to know if, say, you want to spy on a Mormon congregation to
catch them actively campaigning. ;-) Anybody can walk into a Mormon church. Just so ya know, an LDS church has a sign on it that specifically says "Visitors welcome."

The churches (or chapels) are fairly modest buildings. Here's a pretty standard one.

The temples are far from modest. Here's the beautiful, but completely overblown San Diego Temple:

5. It's time for some outings of the faithful. Look behind a homophobe and what do you find?
Someone with a secret.

6. True....but.

That will just scare them back into their hateful ways. They'll go to a conversion camp and claim to be cured. Then they'll become an even louder mouthpiece for the anti-gay church.

12. Hell no, that's discriminatory.
Tax them all. ALL churches should pay taxes.
