Proposal for ballot initiative for the state of California
Edited on Fri Nov-07-08 01:41 AM by SoCalNative
to Amend the California Constitution:

All marriages performed and legally sanctioned in the state of California will be for the lifetime of the one man or one woman entering into a marriage contract. Marriages performed outside of the state of California shall be subject to the same conditions. Divorces granted outside of the state will not be recognized in the state of California. Fertility tests shall be required of all applicants prior to granting of marriage licenses to determine the fecundity and those determined to be likely unable to reproduce will be denied the right to marry in the state of California.

Hey..it's all about protecting the "sanctity of marriage", right?

1. Don't forget a fertility test, too
Since it's apparently all about the baby-making.

2. Nah, it would be pointless. It never would pass.
What we really need is a proposition to tax all churches. Call it something like the "Religious Equality Act" and tie the funds to school funding or something like that. So the summary could be "This proposition gives California churches legal equality to all other institutions and would provide $X million per year to fund California's schools." I think it could actually pass.

4. Sure it would
you just make sure that you collect your signatures in Republican neighborhoods, and just ask them to sign a petition to continue to protect the sanctity of marriage in California.

Then use that message in all ads for it, of course spotlighting the horrors the "children of divorce" have to endure.
