We Are Joe!
A Message From Joe . . .

Congratulations to Barack Obama. The American electorate has decided that you will be our next president. As I have stated, I will honor and support my president, but there will be no free ride. When President-Elect Obama takes office in January, his term of service to the American people begins. We wish our new president blessings of wisdom and good judgment, and we pray he hearkens to our voice if ever we feel our American Dream is being threatened. It will be a loud voice, so good luck trying to ignore it.

Since we have launched this website, tens of thousands of you have expressed your desire to join this movement. I am truly humbled by your support, your kind words of encouragement and your becoming a part of something that I believe we all feel can truly change the course of this country for the better.

For those of you just visting this website, remember that real change in America will only begin if the backbone of this country becomes personally involved in demanding more from our elected officials, and by helping one another in times of need. This is our mission. This is our fight. This is our time to secure our American Dream.

Idiocracy is here

1. The "backbone of this country"?
In a year, he'll be on Celebrity Rehab or one of the other reality shows.

2. gee ... yet another drop of water in the ocean of media set to attack
a Dem President ...

the 8 oz cup of water which will be defending him will be watching from the beach as the tide recedes, knowing that the tide will be back, with tsunami vengeance ...

4. Would this idiot please go away already
Not every element of society needs to have a public voice beyond the ballot box. This guy clearly doesn't know anything about politics or government and needs to shut up.

6. His new book is called "Fighting for the American Dream"
Hey Joe, you're only 34...you can enlist up until the age of 42.

That is if you really want to fight.

7. Joe's American Dream is a little different than the traditional one...
He dreams of not working, just sponging off gullible right wingers for as long as possible.

It's been working for Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh for years, maybe Joe can realize his American Dream.

8. Arghhhh. He is dumber than a sack of hair.
I hate this - what is it with people like this? He knows absolutely nothing, and yet he has all the confidence in the world. Total lack of self awareness. The arrogance of ignorance. Blech. He's writing a fucking book about fighting for theAmerican dream, people! OK, well, it's likely he's not actually writing it himself, but but the fact that he's being styled as some sort of expert on the economy, taxes, etc., is just mindblowing to me. I think maybe I'll read one of Paul the Nobel Prize Winning Economist's books instead, OK Joe?

What kills me is that he thinks he got the best of Obama when he asked him that question that started this whole thing off. Um, no. Obama was perfect there - he was engaged, he gave a long, thoughtful, relevant answer, his demeanor was casual and friendly. I really got the sense that Obama was enjoying engaging with a voter who had a challenging question (or a "gotcha" question, if you will). "Joe" the "Plumber, you've got nothing on Barack the President.

Palin is kind of the same as Joe, in that she is breathtakingly ignorant, is massively self-centered, and has a completely undeserved sense of self-confidence.

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts.--Bertrand Russell

11. Laugh all you want, but if this guy plays his cards right he could turn his temporary celebrity...
...into a lasting star power that could see him become the next Jeff Gannon.
