The republicans still can't blame themselves for losing |
|
Everyone on their side is saying McCain lost because of the Irag war and the bad economy. If not for those two things he would have won. They act like he/they had nothing to do with the them.
Oh yeah, and all those young voters and minority voters coming out to vote for the first time. They're not supposed to do that.

1. The GOP lost because of the liberal jackals in the Media! And the |
|
hippies! And rock'n'roll musicians! And gay people! And all those libruls on the Intertubes!

3. We would have won if not for our record of the last eight years... |
|
...it's so frigging unfair! Why can't you liberals take enough personal responsibility to see that???

15. They have totally excluded themselves from the same bills they voted for |
|
And to bring up their voting records in the campaigns was considered dirty campaigning and going negative.

4. the republics made policy that failed but was supported by their candidate |
|
and they can't understand why they lost? It was Katie Couric's treatment of Palin + Tina Fey.

5. Remember the movie "Lean on Me"? |
|
Edited on Fri Nov-07-08 09:52 AM by southpaw
Morgan Freeman as Joe Clark says to his vice principal after refusing to allow the fire-marshall into the school:
"You know what he's saying right now? 'Black bastard can't throw me out!' But you know where he's saying it? Out in the parking lot!"
That pretty much describes this situation.

17. And McCain was the only one I heard say it |
|
When he said Obama's name at his concession speech most of his supporters boo'ed. When Obama congratulated McCain for his campaign at his victory speech there was applause.
There's a lot of hate issues amongst GOP supporters and the majority of those are Palin fans.

And that, of course, has nothing to do with their policies.

18. The McCain campaign had an epic meltdown- the likes of which no one's ever seen before |
|
His positions (the current "mainstream" Republican positions) were as out of touch with the electorate as Goldwater's in 1964- and his behavior was more erratic than Ross Perot's in 1992.
And looking back to the VP in 1992- at least Admiral Stockdale was honest enough to ask "what am I doing here?"
A far cry from the petty, entitled Amway Distributer mentality of Sarah Palin.

20. I got a visit from the Amway Mafia once |
|
Edited on Fri Nov-07-08 10:58 AM by DaveTheWave
One of my neighbors got into that shit a long time ago and nobody wanted any of their over priced stuff. So they sent a regional honcho to go with her door to door and make the pitch to us again. Those "entitlement" guilt trips he laid on us were, "denying our own neighbor the right to work and make a living by refusing to buy from her" and "why do you feel your family doesn't deserve or isn't good enough for Amway quality products?". I would have been highly offended if it wasn't so hilarious. They did sucker one of my neighbors into signing up for a subscription type thing where once a month they send you the same shit they sent you the month before. I guess the pressure and intimidation was just too much for the poor lady.
