1. Which church had the mail order minister applications in the 60's
so guys wanting to avoid being sent to Vietnam could claim they were a minister and hence exempt?

2. The only thing churches are specifically prevented from doing is endorsing a candidate.
Nothing else would cause them to lose that status.

3. I thought so. So, that is why I think
pushing the IRS to revoke the Mormon's status is a waste of effort and time.

More effective, IMO, would be some kind of boycott.

4. Some Christian learning institutions have
Bob Jones University for one, for racial discrimination involving dating policies among students. I dont know if the tax exemption was restored later.

That would minimize they're interfering in politics.

"Faith-based"" privatization of our social-services should be removed from their plates, also.
