3. IMO, some DU'ers misinterpreted the operational tensions between Rahm & Dean as |
|
being a bad thing, rather than what actually HELPED increase the Democratic majority in Congress.
Dean and Rahm were not exactly at cross purposes, but they did have somewhat different missions. Hence they had different strategies.

4. It's surprising how many DUers believe that "Clinton ally" means "not liberal." |
|
Rahm is a great Congressman and a real bulldog for liberals.

joe lieberman's solidly liberal record, too, starting with his position on choice. seriously, we can cherry pick how people voted on certain issues and make anybody look anyway we want when it is out of the context of the big overall picture of that politicians actions.
that being said, I think he is probably a good choice for COS but please don't whitewish this asshole just to make him palatable.

6. In any case, wasn't he selected for his work ethic and intelligence? |
|
I was under the impression that the chief of staff doesn't dictate policy.

7. It didn't take long for DUers to back-stab their hero. |
|
I find this quite amusing.

this morning that stated, and I paraphrase, that Rahm was a former ballet dancer that exuded masculineness.
Now, I've never personally known a ballet dancer, but I've also never been particularly struck by their masculinity.
...as far as his quals, he's never been my favorite, but I think he'll be fine for the job.
