Anybody else suddenly getting the "put your trust in God, not man" emails from your fundie |
|
relatives?
I just got my second one.
Gee, which man are they trying to say not to trust, I wonder?
I think they're trying to lick their wounds with Dr Dobson's Self-Righteous Salve.

And since He allowed Obama to be elected, I'm not going to question His judgment.

3. Where did I say you couldn't trust God? |
|
The point of my post is that they're implying that suddenly... now... gosh, maybe since November 4th... it's not alright to trust in a man, too.

4. It wasn't a response to you. More to the fundie assumption that there's a conflict in doing both. |
|
Sorry for not being clear.

5. No, my bad for jumping to conclusions. |
|
Yes, I agree - they think there is a conflict in doing both, but only when it's convenient for them. They sure trusted Dubya and McCain.

13. That's the correct... |
|
answer in a strictly Biblical sense. The scripture is full of examples of submission to lawful authority in all things but the worship of the one true God. Daniel was a really good example. Even Jesus submitted himself to the judgment of the Romans.
Some fundamentalists seem to forget that part of the rule book. I suspect it's because they spend too much time studying books that interpret the Bible for them instead of going straight to the source and finding out for themselves.

Praise God.

9. Nope. I have returned enough of those in the past with links to sites that dispute their "facts" |
|
that I've apparently been removed from their email lists. I haven't received a new one in weeks.

12. I haven't gotten that one yet |
|
But I have gotten the one about how the Post Office is selling Muslim stamps and that's proof that the terrorists are winning. Some dreck like that.
I think the far right has lost its collective mind.
