Donna Brazile's letter to the losers.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/11/07/brazile.losers/index.html

As someone who knows from experience, I write this open letter to all staff members, volunteers and supporters of candidates who lost last Tuesday.

No matter how much it hurts to lose a campaign, know that this, too, shall pass.

The campaign is finally over, and you are exhausted and ready to transition to your new life or careers.

But before you clean off your desk and throw away everything in the back seat of your car and the apartment you rented during the campaign, take a moment. Shake the hand of someone with whom you worked. E-mail a thank-you note to a person who helped get you through this long political season. In other words, exhale.

1. That would be the classy way to do things
but I fear few Repuglicans can demonstrate any class but low class.

Still, I suppose it was worth a try. Surely some of them would like to learn some manners.

3. That POS Brad Blecccchhhhman is lying again about the "stolen Ws"
when Clinton left the WH. I thought that that lie had
been so thoroughly debunked that no one would try and
float it again, but Blakeman was at it again the other
day. He used the "anecdote" to contrast the way the
Bushies will leave the WH for Obama with how they
inherited it from Clinton ... Even on their way out,
this crowd is going to keep the "big lie" going.

2. As one who worked for a down-ticket candidate who lost, I'm not forgetting that the
local Democratic Party needs to CHANGE!!!

I saw too many excellent local candidates go down with very little "party" assistance and I've been seeing this happen in too many election cycles.

4. We got very little help from the party in my state. It was a bitter pill, but
I knew that our state would not vote for a Dem. Even if Jesus himself headed the ticket, they'd point out that he's not a Christian and not qualified for public office.

7. Are you talking about Prop 8? The party had a narrow agenda, win the
presidency, and pick off selected Rep incumbents. Turnout lifted all boats, but many races had to make do with that. If your state was safe, not much money is spent. If your state was a lost cause, not much money is spent.

9. I gave some to the national, but most of my help went local. I gave
my local party a computer and monitor. That computer had a copy of Photoshop on it.
