Who is this a-hole "Chip" who's trying to pick a fight with Obama? |
|
At Obama's press conference, he's the one who called Chimpy "the decider" :eyes: and then asked if Obama was going to be confrontational and "would that rattle the markets even more".
Obama of course handled the whole question with grace.
Something tells me this guy isn't going to get a prime spot in the WH press room.
Anybody who saw the press conference know who he is?

He's been annoying since I first became familiar with him when he was with NBC/MSNBC. Annoying voice too, IMO.

6. I think you're overreacting |
|
I don't think he was picking a fight. His reference to "the decider" was mocking Bush.

7. He asked a legit question, which Obama artfully dodged. |

I was glad to see Obama asked the question, and glad to see his answer.
He could have said "yes, I'm going to ask congress to increase taxes on those making over $250,000," but he went out of his way not to say it. Instead, he made the creation of jobs and getting a middle class tax cut his focus.
He's going to have to give up increasing the capital gains tax or the tax increase on the top incomes, at least for 2009. He already knows this, and will begin to tack his way to those positions.

8. And with our broadcast media consolidated into 5 right wing corporations |
|
you probably will hear more of these challenging questions.
Far more than were asked of the tightly controlled propaganda machine that was the Bush administration.
And they will be forthrightly answered. That will be fresh and exciting for a change.
And people probably won't get paid back for bad questions by being banned from the press room.
