Won't Prop 8 and the like ultimately be decided by the Supreme Court?
I think it is clearly a civil rights issue and I personally don't see how it could be upheld.

Does it have to the U.S.S.C., or can this matter be settled the way it has been in every other state in which this issue has been contested: By the State Surpreme Court.

They've already struck any ban on GM down!

They will do it again, won't they?

It's simply unConstitutional, and this has all ready been decided.

6. As I was hearing today,
The SCOCA probably won't strike it down, as the case for overturning a majority vote likely won't fly w/ the CA Chief Justice (who decided the last time).
The best bet is a Federal Court, as this is a CRYSTAL-clear violation of Section 1 of the 14th Amendment, which in part states, "No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States."
Throw in the Equal Protection clause, and it seems a slam-dunk.
