Caption Palin (they filled her office with blue balloons)

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin looks around her office filled with balloons and welcome home banners after she arrived at her office in Anchorage, Alaska on Friday Nov. 7, 2008, for the first time since she began campaigning as Sen. John McCain's vice presidential running mate.

2. I guess they have a helium shortage in AK.
Or maybe helium just doesn't work when Palin sucks all the air out of the room.

14. Yes I am. But they took their name from that old expression, the expression
didn't come from Zepplin's name. I'm so old, I knew the expression before the band even formed.

19. Well I had allways heard, ever since the band formed
That the name came from a couple of guys in the Rolling Stones who were in a bar, during the early years, talking with some other people about Jimmy Pages new band. The comment was made that they would probably go over like a lead balloon, like a Led Zeppelin.

The story then goes that somehow that got back to Page or Plant and it was kind of an insult that they decided they would run with for whatever reason. I have read and heard that story many times since the 60's. But then again, you know how rock legends can be.

20. Yeah, that's basically the story I heard. But something "went over like a
lead balloon" was already a cliche by then. That's all I'm saying.

24. Two members of the Who, not the Stones
Page was looking for a band to join, and Entwhistle and Moon were fed up with Townshend and Daltrey and wanted to start a new band. They talked about getting Steve Marriot to sing, but his manager was mobbed up and threatened to break some fingers if anyone approached his act. Moon came up with the name. At least, that's the version presented in the book Hammer of the Gods.

9. Hmmm, kind of tells you what they think of her.
But you can rest assured, people will loose their jobs over this. Not necessarily the people who did it. But the people who are already on Sarah's shit list.
