Palin denounces critics as cowardly jerks: "I never asked for anything more than a Diet Dr. Pepper"
Edited on Fri Nov-07-08 07:46 PM by Bluebear
ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin called her critics cowards and jerks Friday for deriding her anonymously and insisted she never asked for the expensive wardrobe purchased for her use on the presidential campaign.

"I never asked for anything more than a Diet Dr. Pepper once in a while,":nopity: Palin said as she returned to the governor's office from her two-month odyssey as the GOP vice presidential nominee. She said the Republican National Committee paid for the tens of thousands of dollars in designer clothes and accessories.

"Those are the RNC's clothes. They're not my clothes. I never forced anybody to buy anything," she said.

Republican Party lawyers are still trying to determine exactly what clothing was purchased for Palin at such high-end stores as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus, what was returned and what has become of the rest.

1. I'm so sick of that whiny assed twerp I could spit!
She was probably given an inch and she took a mile. She didn't ask for it, but when it was offered, she went overboard.

She deserves all the angst she gets from her stupidity! Sadly, she is too stupid to learn from her own mistakes... because in her tiny mind, she made no mistakes. People are just mean to her. Waaaa.

6. i do not ignore theft and fraud committed by the enemy
Edited on Fri Nov-07-08 07:43 PM by pitohui
allowing GOPers to steal and go on their merry way, unshamed and unpunished, is how we got into this fix in the first place

when i see a republican thief, i'm going to keep a harsh spotlight on that cockroach

this lady is a big time grift, she had a reason for "everything" including, get this, she had to have fancy new LUGGAGE bought for her because, gosh darn you betcha she "forgot" to bring any luggage from alaska

no, she accepted this run for public office in the first place because she knew it would give her a chance to loot and steal -- and she even made her victims buy the fucking BAGS that she stuffed with designer clothes and jewelry

$20,000 PER WEEK for a hair stylist -- that alone should be cause for a jail sentence, it's a bold fraud, no two ways about it

how much do you think the stylist really got? and how much got kicked back to miss shit? think about it

7. Darn tootin', doncha know, she is a major cheat with a beehive
From billing Alaska for her children's trips to her shopping sprees, grift is the right word and this should be investigated.

4. what was returned -- and who "cashed in" and got the money for the returned items
there's quite a discrepancy here with staffers and the RNC claiming that six figures of money have been spent

if palin has returned some of the clothes to the store, where is the money/gift cards/credit she received for the returns?

she was talking about auctioning the items supposedly for charity at one point (before the election), well, guess what, if the items are not hers, she DOESN'T get to sell them

9. I was listening to Thom Hartman today. He put on his tin foil hat.
He believes that all the leaks are coming from former Romney aides that joined the McCain campaign. They are trying to discredit Palin to clear the way for Romney in 2012.

He also believes that all the money given to defeat Prop 8 was a bribe to the Republican Fundie Base. The Mormons want to prove that they are as RW Fundamentalist as James Dobson and Tony Perkins.

I found myself nodding in agreement.

23. Hey now. Go easy on Palin.
She did fix one thing. Hillary said she put millions of cracks in the glass ceiling. Ol' Palin got right in their with her caulking gun and fixed that right up. It's going to take a helluva lot to even get near putting a crack in that ceiling again.

Thanks a lot Palin, you fucking Hillbilly Diva.

33. I have seen her type
You'd better believe that she is quite frugal, as her mouthpieces and paid aides said. When it comes to sticking a crowbar into her own purse and prying loose a Lincoln (fiver, not a penny, those are all in a jar at home), ain't no way. But when she gets her mitts on someone else's money, credit card or expense account, it's laissez les bon temps roulez, baby! If you're smart, you recognize it early and watch her like a hawk. But she was only around for a couple of months, not nearly long enough to get a read on her, and barely long enough to get the first credit card statement.
