WOW--New York City is now COMPLETELY Blue!
Since 1980, the 14th Congressional District (Staten Island plus a chunk of SW Brooklyn) has been solidly Republican. This year, It took a drunk driving bigamist (complete w/3 children!) scumbag named Vito Fossella to turn the district from R to D--the lone GOP holdover in NYC.

Congrats to Mike McMahon--and move over, Boston! Ya got company!

2. Actually, in the percentage of vote for Dems in the 2004 elex by city....
.... I was surprised at how low NYC was. It barely cracked the Top 20.

I wish him a landslide loss.

5. Even Mayor-for-Life Bloomberg ditched the GOP
after he lobbied them to have their '04 convention there, no less!

7. Actually...not really.

He changed *registration* to independent to maneuver for a possible WH run but he has since gone back bigtime to GOP..... dotated 500,000 K to state GOP to keep control of state senate.

They lost anyway. The more one sees of Bloomberg the less one is impressed by his savvy. In other words, I don't think he's especially bright. Yeah, I know, he made a lot of money on Wall Street but in political terms, he's actually a bit of a moron.
