1. Thanks! I'm pleased that KO will be calling attention to this, for those who
aren't that aware of what happened.

2. It definitely needs some national, prime time
coverage. As is apparent here at DU, it is an important issue that has justifiably upset many people. I know it was the biggest disappointment for me and my family in this election.

3. I heard that and it will be a keeper -
Keith asked everyone to wish him luck on "The View" Monday. He didn't look forward to doing the show.

5. That should be fun!
For the first time ever, I set The View to record.

4. This had better be a solidarity Countdown, because I smell GOP divide and conquer
all over this issue. Everyone knew how Church goers would vote on this issue and everyone knows which demographic groups in the US are big Church goers.

This is the kind of civil rights issue that belongs in the courts not in the ballot box, like Brown vs. Board of Education. And if the federal courts are too right wing to render a correct judgment then we need to fix the courts.

6. I agree with you entirely
This should NOT be on any ballot. Many people don't even know what they are voting for on these initiatives. My "Voter Information Guide" this election was 147 pages long and a couple days later I received a fourteen page "Supplemental". Though I personally was very aware of Proposition 8, there were other initiatives that I found very complex and confusing.

Meanwhile, there are less informed voters who weren't that familiar with Prop 8 and encountered demonstrators with signs that said: "Prop 8 = Free Speech", "Prop 8 = Less Government", and "Prop 8 = Education" - NOTHING about "Gay" or "Marriage"!

As citizens we hire "Lawmakers" to legislate, not our neighbor or Bob at the end of the bar. From now on I am encouraging any CA voter to vote "NO" on all propositions in the future!

8. It is so sad, that with all the rejoicing,
there is such disappointment at the same time.
