Watching the Obama press conference
I realized though of course I KNEW, there will be no accountability for Bush and his cronies ever. WHAT punked up the ass losers we were dreaming about impeachment. This was the goal and the only goal of Mrs. Pelosi since November 2006-getting a Democrat back in the White House. And while that was ONE of my goals as well, I understand. Obama is smart and historic and I LIKE him. AND yes, cynical naysayers I KNEW he was centrist. But it pains. It really makes one pause at all the joy this week.

Because Bush will be treated with respect and deference, and allowed to fly away and sleep well without facing a single repercussion for any of his actions an lies. (I already noticed something from the WSJ on here about his poor treatment-the rehabilitation of Bush-YES it's coming-Americans love amnesia and myth) Obama is already treating him, and Nancy Reagan with far more respect than I doubt he will ever give any of us on the "loony left." But thank GOD, he's bipartisan. Colin Powell anyone? And thank GOD he is making sure the Republicans get their DUE in his administration. They certainly have earned that respect haven't they?

I pray he stops torture, closes Guantanamo, ends that awful pointless war in Iraq, and restores Habeous Corpus, and finally appoints some decent minds on our Supreme Court to stop it from going off into full blown ideological fascism. And I realize he WAS and IS our only hope on all that. McCain or ANY Republican is nothing but continuing horror. Apparently Americans only vote their pocketbooks-but my conscience about some Innocent man being tortured right now or some kid being blown up right now-to supposedly protect me is why I wanted a Democrat in there. (IF we whiners on the Left have any worry about Rahm-it might be that-that being pro rah rah war is not the gatekeeper we were looking forward to)

But as far as ANY And I mean ANY accountability for any of the Bush gang-dream on. It's amazing what you can get away with in this country under the veil of respectability called Mr. President and Mr. Vice President.

And that is why all the happy happy joy joy is tinged with unbelievable sadness for me and bitterness. The guilty get off scot free. God Bless America.

1. Have you ever seen Obama treat anyone disrespectfully?
He's not president yet. You don't know what's in his mind. You could be right, but you could be wrong.

2. Don't be so sure that will happen
1. Let's remember the Dems have many investigations going on right now. Logically they cannot file the charges while * is still in office. They have to wait until Obama is officially in office before filing charges (Why?) if they file any charges before Innauguration day * can pardon them.

2. I believe that an investigation a real one will be started into who outed Valerie Plame.

3. Why would Obama and his team project their plans to pursue Treason at the highest levels? They are wise not to show their hands.

We were patient for 8 years so we could get a Democratic President and Congress.

Let's be patient for 2.5 more months when Obama takes office.

Hang in there!! We have achieved a great deal this week!!
