This is rich... Guess what "McCain" means in Japanese
I was talking about the presidential election tonight with some Japanese. One lady told me that she knew that McCain would lose, as soon as he got the nomination.

"How so?" I asked. "Because of his age? Political views? Ties to bu$h?"

"No," she said, "because of his name."

"His name?"

"Yes, his name. The Japanese word 'makeinu', which is pronounced like 'McCain', means 'loser'-- literally, 'a dog that has lost a fight'. "

5. "Palin" is a Greek root meaning "backwards," as in
"palindrome," a word or phrase that reads the same backwards or forwards: "Madam, I am Adam."

Backwards she was, no doubt.

7. Don't scoff!
I have seen time and time again where a person's name seems to go with their job as well as their personality.
