Do you think “Joe the Plumber” will go postal?
One day, “Joe” is going to wake up and realize he’s a punch line. The blame for this goes to McCain’s campaign for using him. But “Joe” sure didn’t run away from it.

You almost have to feel sorry for him. How many ignorant people get to show the extent of their ignorance on national TV over a period of a month or more?

In any case, “Joe” just might lose it and go postal in some Ohio mall. I really believe this is a possibility. What’s your take on it?

1. Kato Kaelin the Plumber will end up on one of those VH! shows for quasi-celebrities....
..... or working the late-night shift at White Castle.

3. I get pretty creeped out when real people try to become fictional people.
This guy tried to step into the realm of working class myth and he fell flat on his face.

We heard about the book deal, the country & western recording contract, and so forth, even as we heard about the owed back taxes and the unlicensed status. Uncredentialed greed is not an attractive posture.

Rosa Parks rose to the iconic from the real because she was right to begin with. Not so Joe the Plumber.

Politics aside, I was sick of Joe the Plumber inside 2 minutes of his 15 minutes of fame.

5. I'm not at all sure Joe is smart enough
to realize just what happened to him, or what a laughingstock he has become. Kinda like Tiny Tim when Johnny Carson used to have him on.

20. My take is he is a very smart plant
who tries to sound blue collar but does not pull it off very well.
I also think he is ex-military ( posture, bearing, eye to eye contact).

He makes clever statements, repeating Repug. talking points.

He's a hand picked and trained shill.

6. No. He'll keep living in his fantasy that he's Somebody,
will still try to get a book and/or country music recording deal for a long time, might end up self-publishing a lame book about his "struggles," will probably get some speaking gigs at obscure local right-wing events, and having been abandoned by the mainstream of the Republican party as an embarrassment they'd rather forget about, will try to run, probably unsucccessfully, for some office as a Libertarian or other minor party candidate. He'll gradually slip into well-deserved obscurity. He might even have to get a real job.

and give him a helping hand as he gets swept up in the booming economy brought about by Obama's policies.

19. That would be the sweetest thing of all...
Imagine the 2012 Democratic Convention, with Joe the Plumber giving a speech on how he was wrong and how great President Obama has been for the country...
And the surviving FRpers whining on how Joe has betrayed them...

9. I think Sam will be arrested for tax evasion or some other crime before
he get's the chance. He's a thief, a cheat, and a big fat liar. Soon, the last image we will have of Sam is when he is led away in handcuffs, but it will be before he kills someone.

Seems Joe heard there was a turd over there at the post office that required his plunging expertise...

11. This post from yesterday should make you feel better. Old Joe
thinks he is the watchdog for the American people.
The story slipped quickly but is sure worth reading.
