It will have to be a coat over a suit, of course. A nice jewel tone might be just the thing to perk up dreary January, since Obama will probably be in dark charcoal.

Hmm, sapphire blue, emerald green, garnet red, amethyst purple?

2. I'm a dude, and don't usually notice or care what a first lady is wearing.
Mrs. Obama is different though, and I am actually curious to watch the style she will bring. I was certainly struck during the campiagn that she always looked so much classier than the woman who spent $180 grand on clothes in a week.

4. Out with the suits
I so hope she sets the trend that feminism doesn't mean boobs in mens clothing. I hope she wears another beautiful dress, in a vibrant array of colors.

6. It kinda has to be a suit with matching coat thing since the swearing in is outside
in January. Too cold for a dress alone...

8. It can be a dress with a coat
It does not have to be a suit at all. I do not know why women think there is anything attractive about a damn suit. Very few women can carry them off.

5. I don't care what she wears.
I generally won't notice what anyone, male or female, wears, unless it's so over-the-top in a distasteful way that it slaps me in the eyes.

I don't know what dress you are referring to, lol.

The best thing the new first lady could do, imo, for fashion would be to move people beyond the wrapping, to paying attention to more significant and valuable things about people.

7. Michelle has actually proven that you can look good without spending a fortune on clothes.
When you look at Cindy McCain in her $3,000 suits, you realize how true that is. Michelle wore that Gap dress on The View and looked infinitely better than Cindy could ever hope to look.

So you are right. It's the humanity of the person in the dress that really shines through...

I have confidence that she will be a first lady worthy of the position.
