To all the great DUers who worked their asses off and donated 'til it hurt to get our candidate(s) elected, I offer my eternal respect and gratitude. To those who celebrated here and wept for joy together Tuesday night, I love you all: if I'm lucky enough to meet you out in the real world some day, I'll be the tall, gray-haired guy with the goofy mustache. I'll know you by the intelligence and compassion in your eyes; I hope you'll recognize me, too. I'll resist the impulse to say something nasty about the trolls, hand-wringers and dividers: frankly, I've got better things to do. Time to get on with my big, crazy life: family, friends, books, teaching, playing crappy blues guitar. Peace out for now, DU. See you in 2010.
