'Caribou Barbie' Goes Couture

1. it doesn't matter whose couture she was in, or wasn't, the woman still has no class, nor does todd.
wasila hillbillies, indeed.

(didn't anybody tell them about the sale racks at n-m's and saks?

2. I worked a block away from Saks Fifth on Fifth Ave. about 30 years ago and the bargain racks
at Saks were spectacular. I would get up to 90% off.

3. one of my favourite outfits came from saks in SF --$25 for a 3-piece outfit--wool slacks, silk
blouse and wool sweater-- the slacks and blouse lasted about ten years, the sweater nearly 15.

another favourite came from n-m -- a raw silk outfit (the $75 I paid was about an 85% discount)-- had it for many, many years.

a friend taught me when I was in high school to ALWAYS shop the best shops--only on their sale racks. and then, of course, there are the thrift and consignment treasure stores.

11. Thrift and consignment shops are fantastic. I live in one of the wealthiest
counties in the country, and if you go to thrift shops in the higher end areas, the clothes are incredible. Unfortunately I'm limited because being a yoyo dieter my whole life, the clothes that are available tend to me in smaller sizes.

I also like eBay! I am not a big shopper anymore, but for some reason I really wanted to have a good handbag. I wound up getting a beautiful Kenneth Cole New York, on eBay, which originally retailed at $398 for $15 in practically unworn condition. The good thing about Kenneth Cole is that although their New York line can be expensive, no one is knocking them off.

9. I just cannot believe that reporters agreed ...
... not to disclose information until after the election!

What kind of shit is that!?

13. And that is where, the American people get screwed, time and again.
Newspapers and magazines do this shit all the time. They are in collusion with the people they are supposed to protect us again.

The first example I remember of this was Watergate. If the press opened up on Watergate prior to the election, it's possible that Nixon would never have been re-elected.

Then look at all the information that came out against Bush, after he was re-elected.

Collaberators!

article of the behind the scenes of the campaigns, and this took up more page space!
