Surrounded by hundreds of thousands of joyful, ecstatic people, at the literal moment when the darkness of the past eight years was lit up by a promise of a better future... I can't imagine what it was like. I'm so glad that you got to experience it!

5. You should have heard the crowd roar.

They were showing CNN on the jumbotron, and when they interrupted the broadcast with "Breaking News", the place went nuts because all we knew what was next. Grant Park was on FIRE. I've never heard that kind of sound in my life.

9. That was amazing...

One of the best experiences of my life, without a doubt, when the "Breaking News" sign came up.

11. What was more fun for me was walking down Michigan after the place cleared out.

The "Breaking News" roar was something that I'll never forget, but the walk down the street was pure bliss. So many smiling, happy people... Every now and again a raucous cheer would start and people would start hugging total strangers. It was incredible. I love Chicago.
