national dems groups are not funding recounts and legal help in close races??
the various close candidates are calling for money and help for legal fees in recounts and actions in close elections. I have seen nothing to indicate the national dems committees are lending any financial support in these efforts.

could that be true or is national assistance just being kept secret?

the dems, obama, various senators, are all sitting on piles of cash that could be used to help in close races.

here in CA we have a very close race in CA 44th district with a dem Bill Hedrick begging for money in his narrowly behind race (51-49 repub) with thousands ballots left to count. Hedrick is asking for financial and legal assistance from voters since the dems are not helping him! Indeed national dems groups did little to nothing to help him win this race at all, evidently. sad.

1. Don't they have to wait until the ballots are all
counted? Extra money wouldn't be needed until then and only if they need to challenge the outcome.

4. Even if they did wait, there is no guarantee the national Dems will even help.
There is a possibility the Dems will stay away because of the fear, real or perceived, that Dems would appear as conspiracy theorists for going through with a whole recount affair.

2. Is the DNC involved in this?
I was given to understand from a call last week that election protection, hiring lawyers and paying for recounts is part of their strategy. Maybe I understood wrong?

3. No surprise there since Dems didn't support Obama giving a paltry $1.8 million
to his campaign in total - if I'm not mistaken. If I am, I'm sure some DUer will correct me here but as far as I know, this is the case.
