C-SPAN Watch from 9/20/05! Rahm Roast with Hillary, David Axelrod, Obama, William Safire, Begala
Edited on Sat Nov-08-08 07:09 PM by KoKo01
and the rest in tribute to "Cure Fund."

It's a MUST WATCH...if you have the Bandwith... IT's just a Must Watch to see how all our Dems and Repugs came together in tribute for CURE to roast Rahm Emmanuel and David Safire to raise money for David and Sue Axelrod's child who has had an unbelievably tough battle with Epilepsy...since she was a baby and she's now 24 and in a "group home" being cared for.

Anyway...C-Span just showed this whole Roast from '05 where ALL our Candidates (including Chris Dodd, btw) are there and participating in this "Roast of Rahm."

Now Rahm is Obama's "Chief of Staff" but even then Mayor Daley was there giving a great speech/roast of Rahm and he was the favorite of Clintons/Axelrod/Begalla/Daley/Obama/Safire and an obscure Repug named COLE!

Worth the watch...really!

1. k&r - I saw it this a.m. - thanks for posting!
I hadn't known that about the Axelrod's child. I also knew he had displayed remarkable skill in the campaign but had not seen his wife, Susan, before. She strikes me as a really compassionate person. The program was on at the same time as Washington Journal this morning, but I got too interested in the roast so WJ had to take a backseat with me today.

Those who missed it should watch it via the links above!

2. Amazing ....it was all a big happy party in '05...with Hillary, Obama, Axelrod, Safire, Dodd
Bill Daley, all laughing and joking at Rahm's roat in benefit for Axelrod's daughter who sadly has an extreme form of Epilepsy that CARE foundation had the event for.

4. You must have Real Player to watch it
I won't have RP on my computer, so that solved the dilemma of whether to watch that scum or not.

5. I think the other option is "IE"....it's a good watch if you are REALLY involved politically...
I'm pretty clueless with computers...and I managed to watch it. There are choices.

6. Isn't "IE" Internet Explorer?
When I watch C-Span, I use Windows Media Player.

Thanks anyway, KoKo. I am really involved politically, but I loathe rahm so much, it doesn't matter.

7. Yes...there's usually two boxes...RA and IE... you can click to watch, and
sorry if I sounded snarky to you.

C-Span has had some really good wonky stuff this weekend, and it was better to me than watching the Cables rehash stuff I already knew. If you can't use RA (free) or IE..then you can't watch it. Or, maybe it's a band width problem for many.
