2. What I'd like to see is for him to in some way get rid of the whole concept of "signing statements"
That should never happen by any president ever.

4. That's a move in the right direction.
Can we convince the angry people on the right of how sane this approach is?

5. Obama
could spend his entire term reversing the damage the chimp did to us and I will be happy as can be to hear it.

6. Restoring Habeas Corpus...
Edited on Sat Nov-08-08 11:34 PM by TwoSparkles
When Obama was campaigning in Iowa, for the caucuses, I had the
opportunity to talk with him. I expressed concern about the
Bush Administration failing to follow the Constitution and
taking away our civil rights.

I mentioned Habeas Corpus being gone. Obama said that one
of his first priorities as President, would be to restore Habeas Corpus, and
we discussed his commitment to the Constitution.

I said, "You're a Constitutional scholar, correct? Aren't
you outraged?" Obama was very diplomatic...he said that
he did not subscribe to "a unitary executive mentality"
and he then promised not to govern in that way.

That's what he said to me anyway---and I believe him!

Sibel Edmonds too, and let her tell ALL about the conversations she heard.

AND I also hope he will order a REAL investigation on EVERYTHING about... September 11, 2001.

The American People DESERVE to KNOW.

8. Holy Cow!
This article reveals that the Obama transition team is heavily made up of people from The Center for American Progress!

That's.....that's fantastic! I am stunned! Speechless.

Wow!
:wow:

11. Can you paraphrase the gist of it?
For those of us who have a constitutional aversion to being extorted into "joining" websites (so they can spam you) in order to access their content?

wheedlingly,
Bright
