Thread: Where did Bush go wrong...

Then comes this gem -

To: prolifefirst'

If we Freepers could go back in time, would we be against the war, since we lost almost everything in the process...If the terrorist had set off a dirty bomb in Manhattan or DC, would that have come close to the damage that the war has done to our country by letting the other side control all of the government?

I know what you are thinking, dude. The GOP lost the election. Means it is safe to bash the Iraq War on FR.

You thunk wrong.

Wow. These are stupid people we are dealing with. Dissent is not allowed. Even on an issue that must be discussed openly if they are to have any chance of saving their party. They refuse to get it.

Some think Obama won because the election was fixed. Or the media put him in office. Or McCain ran a bad campaign. Or it just wasn't their year.

Bush just destroyed the GOP. Took him 8 years of hard work to dig the hole deep enough to sink them all for years to come. And they can't even talk about if freely.

3. rethug-CON-freepers think in a different dimension/plane/space which has absolutely NOTHING........
to do with reality or rational thought. DENIAL rules above all else; freepers can nominate and elect criminals without giving it a second thought while also believing they have done the right thing. bizarre.

4. Isn't denial a stage of grief?
The GOP Soul Searching will never get off the ground.

And I am okay with that.

5. I hadn't even considered that as a factor in their demise
I thought they would fight it out for a while and then whither away as a party.

They won't even get that far if they don't allow each other to speak freely! Isn't this great?

6. They're driving out anyone capable of independent thought.
They're going to whittle their party down to angry idiots and assure their own irrelevance.

Amazing. Simply amazing.

8. even my mother, who is 83 and a die hard republican
eventually became appalled by bush, and the war. she admitted it was wrong and a scam. nonetheless, she votes on abortion, so she always votes republican. but she changed her mind on the war.
