My obligatory plug: DIVER DAN on this week's IDIOT BOX.
The Idiot Box sinks to new depths this week as we take on the 1960's children's TV staple Diver Dan. Watch as Dan talks to fish and...well...that's about it. Watch or download the episode by clicking here, and feel free to E-Mail or embed it in your blog.

Bonus features on the websire this week include outtakes, blog icons, trivia, and a ten minute improvised commercial by Kris ("Davey") and Bob ("P.J.") soliciting donations.

Of course, the best bet to get the show is to subscribe using our "feeds" button. Enjoy! Tell your friends! And K&R!

6. They have most of the early episodes at the Internet Archive.
You can go download and watch them all you want; it's in the public domain now.

They showed DD on Frazier Thomas's after-school show in Chicago when I was a kid. Great stuff!

5. While rehearsing, R.J. kept riffing on the theme song.
"In the dumpster behind the grocery store...
that's where you'll find Diver Dan!"

and about 40 others, unfortunately none of which got caught on tape.

3. Diver Dan was the best show.
Underwater adventures, ahoy!
And, once exposed, who can forget...

Baron Barracuda? Miss Minerva? Triggerfish?

4. We had a bit of a discussion during the show
about how the Baron should just eat Trigger instead of Goldie, because then maybe some of his other evil plans would work, too.

And Miss Minerva inspired this line and blog icon:
