1. It's California. He has no choice. The only reason he's in office is that...
"It's cool to have the Terminator as Governor."

He's a joke.

I think age is taking its toll on him and opening up compassion in his testosterone soaked head.

2. he wants to have total control
the Dem controlled legislature is in his way.

True, he may not be as neocon as some Repubs here, but the Dems are in his way too.

3. Of course he does
He can't work with his own party because all they want to do is cut programs. Prop 13 continues to do damage to the state's tax base.

4. Perhaps, but.....
He kinda has to. He's a Republican Governor of a VERY Democratic state. If he didn't work with people, he'd be in political trouble all the time.

7. He is an ass hole. He wants Universal medical coverage for his state. He sure was not talking that
way when he was out campaigning for McCain. I have a long memory. If you don't remember, you are going to have to learn your lessons all over again.

9. His description of Maria running around the house with a life size Obama cutout
taunting him on the win was amusing but when he mentioned not being cut
off in the bedroom because of the win just told me what an asshole
our governor is.

10. PURE BULLSHIT
He got his ass handed to him when he first came into office and pimped his special elections

Since then he is just trying to hold onto his job and very discreetly circumventing labor and democratic processes

12. What did he say about Prop 8 this am?
He came out against it pre-election, then said its passing was "the will of the people." That's not exactly a person with a spine. He could have come out strongly against its passage post-election, but he didn't. He took the milquetoast way out.

13. Did he impress you when he said Palin would be ready
to be President, and flew around the country promoting not just McCain, but the full blown hate politics of Palin? Was that working with a Party, or with people? Or was it just Arnie hoping to get a race baiter elected?

I look at Califoria's financial quagmire, and I think about the hubris of Arnold's rhetoric when he cheated his way into office on the Enron highway. He promised in no uncertain terms that he'd be able to balance the buget while not raisng taxes just by being more efficient and cutting the fat, said he could do it in three months, the Democrats just wouldn't do it because they were corrupt. Utter lies.Has he solved even one problem in the State? No. He is incapable of action, lacks the ability to follow through, speaks about being non partisan but also went into office calling Democrats 'girly men' which is funny becuase many of the Democrats in the CA statehouse are in fact women. A vulgar and useless lump of sagging flesh, that is Arnie. He needs to lay off the politics and go enjoy his twilight years.

16. He should have stuck to the bodybuilding industry.

Many years ago he was a source of inspiration to many. Helped a lot of young people achieve their dreams and aspire to something. Mixing it up with politics was a bad idea.

18. Watch out for him. His arrogance and ego are king sized.
He is serious about wanting to be President and has been working behind the scenes to have the requirements changed, since he is not native born. Floated that trial balloon several times.

The man is one of the last great chauvinist pigs. He should be enshrined a museum.
His over the top macho braggadocio rivals his sexism, and he has demonstrated both attitudes repeatedly.
I was in Ca. for a few years during his governorship, and saw way too much of his behavior.
He made a threatening sexist remark to Arianna Huffington during a debate that was over the top even for Cal. voters.

19. That's what you say when your Party is disgraced and discredited
Party is not just a label. It names a political philosophy. The problem is not with the ;label "Republican." It is with the complete failure in practice of Republican political philosophy. Pretending that you don't hold the label doesn't make a whole lot of difference at that point.

21. That sound bite sounds better than calling Dem legislators "girlie men" and boasting of "kicking the
nurses' butts" as he did years ago before getting his own butt kicked in a special election he held as an end run around the state legislature.

Ahnie has always said he's with "the people" even as he was attacking labor, Democrats and cutting statutorily mandated hospital nurse to patient ratios, just for a few examples. But his history, his backer$ (Enron, etc), and his actions have indicated otherwise.

After his measures in the 2005 special election failed he became, for public consumption, a "kindlier, gentler" Ahnie. It's showbiz.
